Best pizza restaurant in Lake Forest

My first time trying Ferentino’s Pizzeria and it definitely won’t be my last! It’s a small, cozy neighborhood spot with such a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even better. We tried the cheesy garlic bread on their fresh house made focaccia, the ... rigatoni vodka, the jalapeño pineapple pizza on the Roma crust, and the veggie pizza on the pan crust. The fresh focaccia was easily the star of the meal and made both the garlic bread and the Roma crust pizza so good. The rigatoni vodka was also a standout with a rich, flavorful sauce that I’d happily order again. The pan crust wasn’t my favorite, but everything else was fresh, delicious, and made with quality ingredients. If you’re looking for a hidden gem in the Chicago suburbs with great food and even better service, I’d definitely recommend giving Ferentino’s Pizzeria a try! Read More

First time visiting and if I lived here this place would be my regular go to. The owner and the staff were amazing. They always checked on us and the food was awesome. Everything we ordered and tasted was so so good. You won’t be disappointed getting your grub on here.

We work on base so people come here often though I haven’t been but now this might be my new favorite. I’ve had the beef, thin crust, and the Italian panino on focaccia with that magical dipping sauce…..omg I could drink it! So Italian Beef is one of my favorites things to eat and I usually order a cheesy beef (just ... mozzarella or provolone on the beef then broiled a little) on garlic bread. The cashier said they don’t have garlic bread but could put fresh garlic on instead. I’m usually jokey and ask, “how do you not have garlic bread??” (I mean, we’re in a restaurant that has bread, butter, and garlic), but she was a little spacey bless her so I was like yeah fine, I didn’t want it to be more difficult for anyone. It was delicious but you gotta love garlic and not mind having garlic breath. I only wish they’d either grate it or use a garlic press because it was too coarse and while I love garlic, I cannot chew on chunks of it. Looks like they put it on the beef then cheese over that. So good. I also had some of my friend’s Italian panino that I mentioned above with that dipping sauce. Cannot wait to go back and have that again.
